Presentations of the day: The new unitary patent and unified patent court
Last Tuesday, May 28, a patent seminar of the Chair was held in the Paraninfo of the Rectorate of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and, subsequently, a round table where the theme that gave title to the day was discussed: “The new unitary patent and unified patent court.” The event was attended by the speakers Da Carmen Sánchez Puelles, manager of the patent department of Clarke, Modet & Ca; Mr. Jose Miguel Lissen Arbeloa, Secretary of LES Spain and Portugal and partner of Gómez Acebo & Pombo Lawyers and with the Vice-Rector of Research at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Mr Roberto Prieto López.
About 90 people attended the seminar, answering some questions posed, such as what is this new figure and how is it articulated? Is this the definitive figure the European Union expects? Is that the one waiting for Spain?
