On November 8th we inaugurated the University Conferences + Company of the ClarkeModet-UPM Chair of Intellectual Property with a meeting with the video game sector.

From the ClarkeModet-UPM Chair in Intellectual Property we are pleased to invite you to the first University+Enterprise Day organized from the Chair. It will be on November 8, at 18:00pm, in International Lab Madrid.

These Conferences are intended to be a meeting point between the university community and professionals in sectors that stand out for their contribution in R&D&I, their involvement with the evolution of intellectual and industrial property, as well as for their economic relevance and their employability rates.

In this first Day we will meet with the video game industry to discuss copyright, data protection and the intellectual property of video games. For them we will be joined by Alvaro Ramos, Director of Data Protection and New Technologies of ClarkeModet Spain,and Jorge Pumariega Legal Services Consultant of ClarkeModet Spain.

We will also discuss the employability and economic growth of the sector, development and future prospects of the industry, with Luis Oliván, member of the board of directors of DEV and co-founder, producer and communications officer of Fictiorama Studios, Daniel González, Director of Communication of the Master in Game Design and Development UPM and video game creator, and Marta Trivi, a cultural journalist specializing in video games.

-Jorge Pumariega, Legal Services Consultant. Professional experience of 14 years in Industrial and Intellectual Property. Specialized in the advice of copyright, intellectual property, new technologies and domain names. Advice on the protection of personal data.

-Daniel Gonzalez, Director of Communication of the Master in Video Game Design and Development UPM, Creative Director in Advertising and Director of the Gametopia Studio.
-Luis Oliván, deV board member and producer and co-founder of Fictiorama Studios.

Presents and moderates: Marta Trivi,a cultural journalist, specializing in video games, has focused his career on both the written press and the radio. He currently collaborates on websites such as AnaitGames or Verne and participates weekly in programs such as the Podcast Reload or Choquejuergas. In paper he has contributed to the anthology of essays ‘Protesto: Video games from a gender perspective’ and in the magazines GameReport and Manual.
