El jueves 28 a las 19:30 tendrá lugar en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid la II Entrega del Premio a la Mejor Tesis Doctoral. Un premio dirigido a todas aquellas tesis doctorales leídas en universidades de habla hispana y portuguesa que han destacado por su adecuada protección, explotación y transferencia exitosa al mercado en el año 2014.
En la presente edición se ha galardonado a Alberto Varela por su tesis sobre el “Análisis Geoespacial para la caracterización funcional de las infraestructuras varias en modelos de accesibilidad territorial” utilizando sistemas de información geográfica, que fue defendida en la Universidad de La Coruña.
En esta convocatoria han participado tesis procedentes de siete países de habla hispana y portuguesa, de las que se preseleccionaron cerca de cuarenta y resultaron finalistas siete.
Destaca de todas ellas su excelente nivel en la adecuada gestión de las distintas figuras de Propiedad Industrial e Intelectual y en el proceso de transferencia al mercado, lo que rompe en cierto modo con la creencia de que en los países latinoamericanos no existe conocimiento sobre la aplicación de estas herramientas.
